What is This Declaration?
A statutory declaration of non-impediment to marriage (also called a certificate of no impediment or CNI) is a document that confirms you are legally free to marry — that is, you are not already married, and there is no other legal obstacle to your marriage. Many countries require this document from foreign nationals before they will perform a marriage ceremony.
